This is great news!! Pass it on!
Interested students/parents will need to contact their school counselor ASAP to change class schedules, and any San Diego Unified District students living outside the PLHS boundary can apply to transfer to Point Loma High (only if they plan to take the Portuguese Language course there), and at least 1 week prior to the first day of school.

CONGRATULATIONS to the UPSES Inc. Board (& then-President Carl Silva), Don Sevrens, Jon Linney, and the Peninsula Community Planning Board, etc., for their successfully getting a unanimous vote of the City Council on March 8th after 28 years to secure a "Portuguese Village" POCKET PARK on 2/3 of an acre at the top of Avenida do Portugal (near Cańon St.); now formally funded by the City of San Diego for 2019. Portuguese American Social & Civic Club
P.A.S.C.C. membership is limited to people of Portuguese American ancestry, their spouses and/or significant other, honorary members, or children 12-years old or older accompanied by an adult member; all initially sponsored by a current member and accepted by a vote of our Board of Directors. Children under 12 are welcome as Guests.
Membership Dues are $36 dollars per year (+$2.50 for new members only). This averages to only $6 per month, an exceptional value we've worked very hard to maintain. Guests pay $5 per Social they attend, unless otherwise noted.
This is all only possible via dues, our monthly Raffle of donated items, and countless hours of donated labor by our Board of Directors, friends and other members. We welcome suggestions, and will aid members who offer to host a Social of their own. ~ Bem-vindo!
